Since 1998, the Women's Wilderness Institute has offered wilderness experiences for women and teen girls in the Rocky Mountains and the deserts of the Southwest. Enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, yoga retreats, canoeing, fly fishing and creative retreats focusing on photography, journaling, financial planning and personal goal-setting. At the heart of our mission is The Girls’ Wilderness Program, which serves girls age 8-18 on four to twelve-day overnight wilderness, backpacking and rock climbing expeditions. We also offer a week-long “day camp” sessions for girls age 9-11 which offer the same great activities without overnight camping, and one-day daughter-parent adventures for girls age 8+ and a parent or adult mentor.
