Products/Services
Family Harmony classes are a fun, interactive way for children and caregivers to enjoy making music while working on important developmental skills. Every class is designed using music therapy principles and taught by a teacher with a degree in music therapy. This is a small, local program that can creatively adapt and expand to best meet the needs of the children! Classes are age-specific so that all activities are developmentally appropriate.
Family Harmony classes are held in ongoing 8-week sessions. Families may sign up for a full session (and receive a free CD!) or participate on a drop-in basis. Classes are 45 minutes long and may include:
- A regular opening (“Hello”) and closing (“Goodbye”) song
- Interactive sing-a-longs
- Individual and shared instrument playing
- Song creation
- Individual and group dancing or movement activities
- Call and response rhythm plays
- Music games
