I am a licensed, certified Musikgarten instructor and specialize in Musikgarten classes for children from infant to age 5. Those classes are as follows:

Family Music for Babies (infants – 18 months)
Family music for Babies is a 15-week course designed for babies and parents to learn basic musical skills and play. During our 30-minute weekly session, we will enjoy bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, superb recordings of children's choirs and instrumentalists and community building activities with other parents and children within the class.

Family Music for Toddlers (18 months – 3 years)
Family Music for Toddlers is a 15-week, 30-minute course designed for parents and toddlers to participate together in singing, chanting, moving, dancing and playing of simple instruments. This class features movement activities for coordination, body awareness, and exploration of space, body control and the pure joys of movement. We also explore folk songs and focused listening examples of nature and instrumental sounds.

Cycle of the Seasons (3 –5 years)
Cycle of Seasons is a 15-week, 45-minute course to celebrate your child’s love of nature and growing independence through activities involving the four seasons. This class features singing, chanting, moving, focused listening and musical games. We also use storytelling without props or sets to nurture your child’s ability to use language and participate in dramatic play. These activities develop focused attention, imagination, creativity and self-expression.

Hi Moxie Moms of the Tri-Cities! My name is Erin Carder and I am very pleased and excited to offer musical instruction opportunities to your Moxie Mom Group. Erin’s Musik Garden is located within Central Baptist Church in downtown Johnson City as a part of the Central Baptist Arts Academy.

In July 2006, I received training in Musikgarten and was licensed and certified as an instructor. This past semester I taught a wonderful Family Music for Babies class. I had such a great time watching children grasp rhythm for the first time, interact with mommy, daddy and peers in class, play and experiment with instruments, dance and move freely to music and just enjoy participating in community-building, musical and developmental activities.

I have to say congratulations are in order to you at this point. By considering music education for your child at an early age, you have taken the first step toward bonding with your child and enriching your family life. As I have seen in Family Music for Babies and as you probably already know, children are naturally drawn to music, which will make your time with your child in Musikgarten both fun and beneficial!

As a partner with Moxie Moms, I offer a 15% discount on tuition (does not apply to materials or facility administrative fees). I offer classes within a 15-week semester and each of the classes have 8 slots for enrollment. The discounted rates are available for up to 2 Moxie Moms members in each of the class slots offered per semester.
